MAYOR DOUGHERTY’S WEEKLY NEWS CONFERENCE

Mayor Jennifer Dougherty will hold her weekly news conference on Tuesday, March 26 at

10 a.m. in the Board Room of City Hall. The following items will be discussed:

1. Public Art: On March 21, the Board of Aldermen tabled the discussion of possible funding of a public art project proposed by Shared Vision and local artist William Cochran. Mayor Dougherty will review some concerns on this proposal.

2. Eminent Domain: Mayor Dougherty will review the action taken by the Board of Aldermen to allow the City to end the serious risk to public health and safety due to blighted properties.

3. The accomplishments and upcoming issues: Mayor Dougherty will review the past week’s accomplishments and the upcoming issues for this week.
