MAYOR DOUGHERTY TO ATTEND THE KICKOFF BREAKFAST FOR

THE BIG SWEEP ON MARCH 23

Mayor Jennifer Dougherty will join volunteers, area nonprofit organizations and other local and state leaders at a kick off breakfast for The Big Sweep at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 23. The Mayor will thank the volunteers for participating in this community-building event.

The Big Sweep is a fundraiser coordinated by Volunteer Frederick. Over 525 volunteers have raised over $20,000 for 26 Frederick nonprofit organizations. The volunteers will work on teams and clean up areas across Frederick County. Baker Park, the City’s watershed and the greenway along Key Parkway will benefit from the trash pick-up.

The breakfast will be held in the Cougar Café at Frederick Community College from

7:30 –9:30 a.m. The program begins at 8:30 a.m.
