MAYOR DOUGHERTY’S WEEKLY NEWS CONFERENCE

Mayor Jennifer Dougherty will hold her weekly news conference on Tuesday, March 12 at

10 a.m. in the Board Room of City Hall. The following items will be discussed:

1. The Fair Housing Program: The City has contracted with Baltimore Neighborhoods Inc. (BNI) to assist in implementing the City’s Fair Housing Strategy. BNI will identify solutions for the impediments to fair housing choices.

2. The Search for a Chief of Police: The formal search for a Chief of Police began on

March 8. The Mayor is confident that an employment offer will be made to a qualified candidate in May.

3. The “Black Book” Appeal: Mayor Dougherty will give a review of the pending appeal of the Public Information Act requests.

4. Accomplishments and upcoming issues: Mayor Dougherty will review the past week’s accomplishments and the upcoming issues for this week.
