WATER MAIN BREAK

A water main on East South Street was hit by a contractor installing a guardrail. As a result, water in the city has been turned off everywhere east of Route 70, including South Street, Reichs Ford Road, and Tilco Drive. A gas main was also hit by the same contractor, complicating repairs, so we do not know when they will be completed.
