CITY FILES AN INJUNCTION AGAINST BLIGHTED PROPERTY

The City’s Office of Legal Services today filed a complaint for injunctive relief in the District Court for Frederick County. This is an injunction requesting that the Court order the owner of the property at 321 South Market Street correct the property violations.

“This particular property has been a source of complaints by neighboring homeowners for several years,” states Mayor Jennifer Dougherty. “We hope this injunction will be an effective tool for enforcing the City Code against these long-standing blighted properties. The City remains dedicated to expending every reasonable effort to help property owners comply with the Code.”
