AGENDA FOR MAYOR DOUGHERTY’S

WEEKLY NEWS CONFERENCE

 

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty will hold her weekly news conference on Tuesday, December 10, at 10 a.m., in the Board Room of City Hall.  The following items will be discussed:

 

1.      Agenda Review for Wednesday’s Mayor and Board of Aldermen Workshop:

·        Review of updates to the City of Frederick Policy and Procedures Handbook.

·        Discussion of a Budget Amendment for the Department of Economic Development.

·        Discussion of The Carroll Creek Task Force.

·        Discussion of funding for the Friends of Baker Park 75th Anniversary Project.

·        Update on Sites B & C. 

 

2.      The Mayor and Board of Aldermen Public Meeting from Thursday, December 5th, was rescheduled due to inclement weather, and will take place on Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at 7 p.m., City Hall Board Room.  The agenda will include two items relating to the Weinberg Center for the Arts, Inc., as well as, appointments to the Neighborhood Advisory Council.  A complete agenda can be found online at www.cityoffrederick.com.

 

3.      Update on City of Frederick Holiday events sponsored through the Office of Special Events.

 

4.      Recap of the first major snowstorm of the season.  Update on information from Department of Public Works including revised schedules for leaf and bulk trash collections.

 

5.      Fort Detrick Revised Traffic Patterns effective Tuesday, December 10.  All non-decaled vehicles will enter through the entrance immediately to the right of the main gate on Seventh Street, Monday through Friday, from 6a.m.- 3 p.m.  At all other times, non-decaled vehicles will enter through the main gate.  All decaled vehicles continue to enter through the two lanes at the main gate.  This change will decrease the amount of time vehicles wait in line on Seventh Street to enter through the main gate. Also, the Rosemont Ave gate (closed for traffic after Sept. 11, 2001) will be open for exit only from 3 – 6 p.m..  The gate will be closed during all other hours.  No one will enter through this gate.
