KRIS KRINGLE PROCESSION STILL ON TONIGHT

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6

 

Frederick, Md. --- Bundle up!  Wear your hats, scarf’s, and mittens.  With a glorious coating of fresh snow along the streets of Frederick, the Office of Special Events is pleased to announce that the 17th Annual Kris Kringle Procession will go on as scheduled.  The parade will begin tonight, at 6:30 p.m., at Everedy Square.  This year, the parade welcomes the Mayor of Frederick, the Snow Queen, Jack Frost, Tiny Tim, Bob Crachett, Scrooge, and of course, the man of the hour, Kris Kringle himself!

 

The procession route, from Everedy Square, turns left onto East Street travels south to Patrick Street, turns right onto Patrick Street and travels west to Market Street, turns right onto Market Street and travels north to Second Street, turns left onto Second Street and travels three blocks to the Baker Park Band Shell. Upon arrival in Baker Park, the crowd will enjoy a closing ceremony featuring fun speeches by holiday characters, caroling and the official lighting of the City tree. This event is one you don’t want to miss as it truly captures the holiday spirit and small town charm that is so alive in our City!
