AGENDA FOR MAYOR DOUGHERTY’S

WEEKLY NEWS CONFERENCE

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty will hold her weekly news conference on Tuesday, December 17, at 10 a.m., in the Board Room of City Hall. The following items will be discussed:

1. Agenda Review for Wednesday’s Mayor and Board of Aldermen Workshop for Wednesday, December 18:

· Update on the Golden Mile Force.

· Discussion of a Budget Amendment for the Department of Economic Development.

· Presentation of Residential Trash Survey Results.

· Discussion of a request for a liquor license for the Festival of the Arts.

Please note there will be no Mayor and Board of Aldermen Workshop on Wednesday, December 25, 2002, and Wednesday, January 1, 2003. The next Workshop will take place on January 8, 2003.

Also, the next Public Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen will take place on Thursday, January 2, 2003, at 7 p.m., in the City Hall Board Room.

2. City of Frederick Holiday Event information including details on Friday’s Festival of Lights and Saturday’s Sing-A-Long at Harry Grove Stadium.

3. Recap of FBI investigation currently taking place in the City of Frederick’s watershed.

4. Initiatives of the City of Frederick’s Department of Economic Development.

Please note that Mayor Dougherty will not hold news conferences on Tuesday, December 24, or Tuesday, December 31, 2002. The next news conference will be on Tuesday, January 7, 2003, 10 a.m.

The Mayor will also hold a special evening news conference on Tuesday, January 14, 2003, at 5 p.m., to recap her first year in office.
