MAYOR DOUGHERTY SCHEDULE

 

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty has no public appearances planned for the last weekend in August.  Please note her tentative schedule for the first week of September.

·        City Hall will be closed in observance of Labor Day.  Have a safe and healthy holiday.

 

Tuesday, September 3, 2002

·        Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty hosts her weekly press conference at 10 a.m., in the Board Room, at City Hall. 

 

Issues addressed at her weekly press conference will include; current water situation including continued cooperation and assistance from the County and State, 10 Commandments and the ACLU Lawsuit, agenda for the 8/4 Mayor and Board of Aldermen Workshop, agenda for Public Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.  Agenda includes for the September 5th meeting include; Site A, Water Allocation Ordinance, Education Commission, Neighborhood Advisory Councils, and a variance request from the Great Frederick Fair for noise ordinance.  

 

 

 

Wednesday, September 4, 2002

·        The Mayor and Board of Aldermen will meet for their scheduled workshop.  Agenda items include; discussion of an Ordinance to allow for citations to be issued in City Parks by City Park Enforcement Officers, Amendment to Frederick Aviation Agreement, update on Sold On Frederick program, and discussion of Floodplain Ordinance. 

 

The Mayor has also requested an executive session to follow the workshop. 

 

Thursday, September 5, 2002

 

·        The Mayor and Board of Aldermen will meet for a public meeting beginning at 7 p.m., in the Board Room, at City Hall.  Items on the agenda include; Site A, Water Allocation Ordinance, Water and Sewer Tap Fees, Education Commission, Neighborhood Advisory Councils, and a variance request from the Great Frederick Fair for noise ordinance.

Friday, September 6, 2002

·        Mayor Dougherty will once again be the guest of WFMD’s Morning News Express show hosted by Ron Kitzmiller at 8:20 a.m. 

 

·        Mayor Jennifer Dougherty will be attending the Flight Across America reception at AOPA (Aircraft Owner’s and Pilots Association) at 10 a.m.  The Flight Across America program is a national effort to celebrate the freedom of flight in America and honor those fallen in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.  For additional information log into www.flightacrossamerica.com.
