Frederick, Md. --- Please note the following schedule of events that Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty will be present at throughout this next week:

Monday, August 26, 2002

· Mayor Jennifer Dougherty and City Staff will host an informational meeting on the proposed Neighborhood Advisory Council Initiative at 7 p.m., in the City Hall Board Room.

Tuesday, August 27, 2002

· Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty hosts her weekly press conference at 10 a.m., in the Board Room, at City Hall.

Issues addressed at her weekly press conference will include; current water situation including continued cooperation and assistance from the County and State, NYC Bond trip, ACLU Lawsuit, agenda for the September 5th Public Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen. Agenda includes for the September 5^th meeting include; Site A, Water Allocation Ordinance, Water and Sewer Tap Fees, Education Commission, Neighborhood Advisory Councils, and a variance request from the Great Frederick Fair for noise ordinance.

Wednesday, August 28, 2002

· Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty will accompany John Leisenring, CFO for the City of Frederick, and Tom Pellerino, Capital Improvement Project Director for the City, to New York City. The nature of the trip is to visit the financial houses of Standard and Poors, and Moody’s to discuss our bond obligations in the amount of $26,450,000.
