Frederick, Md. --- Please note the following schedule of events that Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty will be present at throughout this week:

Monday, August 19, 2002

· Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty will join Richard Griffin, Director of Economic Development for the City of Frederick, at a neighborhood Community Legacy Plan meeting. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., at the Way Station.

Tuesday, August 20, 2002

· Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty hosts her weekly press conference at 10 a.m., in the Board Room, at City Hall. Issues addressed at her weekly press conference will include; a drought and water conservation update, supply update, water and sewer tap fees, as well as, water allocation ordinance. Also to be discussed are upcoming events and the Department of Public Work’s street overlay schedule.

Wednesday, August 21, 2002

· Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty will attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for the New Design Road Bridge, at 12 p.m.

· The Mayor and Board of Aldermen will hold a scheduled workshop at 2 p.m., in the Board Room at City hall. Topics to be workshopped include; an update on Tourism activities, continued discussion concerning Community Legacy, continued discussion on the neighborhood Advisory Council Initiative, continued

· discussion on Impact Fees for Water and Sewer Expansion projects, and continued discussion on the water Allocation Ordinance.

Thursday, August 22, 2002

· The Mayor will attend a MML Meeting at the Walkersville Town Hall, at 7 p.m.
