DOUGHERTY CALLS SPECIAL MEETING

MAYOR & BOARD OF ALDERMEN

Pursuant to the authority granted under section 10 of the Charter of the City of Frederick, Mayor Dougherty has called for a special meeting of the Mayor & Board of Aldermen to be convened tomorrow, April 18, 2002, at 5:00 pm.

Pursuant to the authority granted under the State Open Meetings Act, the Mayor intends to conduct the special meeting as a closed executive session for the purposes of discussing:

* A specific personnel matter relating to the Chief Operations Officer;

* To consult with the Legal Counsel regarding the Golf Commission and a specific personnel matter relating to the Golf Commission;

* A specific personnel matter relating to the Weinberg Center Board of Directors.

And;

* A specific personnel matter relating to the Police Department Dispatcher Supervisor.

The Mayor will entertain a motion to this effect at tomorrow’s meeting and will comply with the Open Meetings Act to the fullest extent.

The Mayor & Board will convene at 7:00 p.m., for the regularly scheduled public meeting.
