Since Governor Glendening issued an Executive Order declaring a Drought Emergency for the Central Maryland region, The City of Frederick has experienced a 2.3% reduction in water usage.
The
Governor’s water conservation plan calls for a reduction of water usage by 10%.
The 2.3% reduction is calculated from the latest water usage reports issued by the City’s Department of Public Works.
The City has issued 22 enforcement violations and received 131 inquiries on water related issues.
