MAYOR DOUGHERTY TO JOIN HOPE VI STEERING
COMMITTEE ON TOUR OF HOPE VI PROJECTS IN WASHINGTON, DC AND BALTIMORE
ON FRIDAY, APRIL 26
Mayor Jennifer Dougherty will join the Hope VI Steering Committee and other community leaders to tour Hope VI projects in Washington, DC and Baltimore on Friday, April 26.
The purpose of the trip is for the Hope VI Steering Committee, elected officials and other community representatives to see successful of Hope VI projects and speak to residents about the revitalization process in.
Some of the attendees on this daylong tour will include Alderman Marcia Hall, Reverend Samie Connors, Grace Pentecostal Church, Bill Lee, former City Alderman and Housing Authority Board Member, Denise West, NAACP President and Marvin Ausherman, Chairman of the Hope VI Steering Committee. Representatives from the business and housing community, City residents and staff will also participate in the tour.
The itinerary is as follows:
Friday, April 26
7:30 a.m. Meet at Interfaith Housing, 731 North Market Street, Frederick
8:00 a.m. Motorcoach departs for Washington, D.C.
9:15 a.m. Arrive Ellen Wilson H6 Project (Townhouse project on Capital Hill)
10:30 a.m. Depart for Wheeler Creek H6 Project

12:00 noon Depart for Baltimore
12:45 p.m. Buffet lunch at Olive Tree Restaurant (300 E. Baltimore St. Baltimore)

3:45 p.m. Depart Baltimore for Frederick
5:00 p.m. Arrive Interfaith Housing
