MAYOR DOUGHERTY’S WEEKLY NEWS CONFERENCE

Mayor Jennifer Dougherty will hold her weekly news conference on Tuesday, April 23 at

10 a.m. in the Board Room of City Hall. The following items will be discussed:

1. Earth Day - Mayor Dougherty will review what she learned by attending some Earth Day activities.

2. Frederick City Civic Association – Mayor Dougherty will recap the outcome of her recent meeting with the Frederick City Civic Association.

3. Golden Mile Task Force – Mayor Dougherty will discuss the progress of the Golden Mile Task Force.

4. Water – Mayor Dougherty will preview the Interim Strategic Water Management Plan and discuss the Appeals Process to Executive Order No. 1-02.

5. Workshop – Mayor Dougherty will review the agenda items for the April 24, 7 p.m. Workshop including the Noise and Nuisance Ordinance and the FY 2003 Budget CIP Plan.

6. Hope VI Tour – Mayor Dougherty will discuss her participation in a Hope VI tour in Baltimore this Friday.

7. Trash – Mayor Dougherty will review how tipping fees can be reduced by the reduction of yard waste in the landfill.

8. Fort Detrick and Anthrax – Mayor Dougherty will respond to the recent report of Anthrax at Fort Detrick. Delegate Sue Hecht and representatives from Fort Detrick will be in attendance.
