MAYOR DOUGHERTY TO INTRODUCE FREDERICK’S MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT WEEK ESSAY CONTEST WINNERS AT “MUNICIPAL NIGHT AT HARRY GROVE STADIUM” TONIGHT, APRIL 22

Mayor Jennifer Dougherty will introduce the two Frederick winners of the Maryland Municipal League’s “If I were Mayor…” essay contest at the Frederick Keys’ “Municipal Night at Harry Grove Stadium” tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Fourth graders Anna Wherry from Frederick and Shayna Beard from Thurmont will read their essays then throw out the first pitches for the game.

“Municipal Night at Harry Grove Stadium” is a kick-off event for Municipal Government Week, April 22 through the 26.

Mayor Dougherty and the two students will be joined by Alderman Donna Ramsburg, who assisted with the coordination of the City’s events for Municipal Government week.
