MAYOR DOUGHERTY’S WEEKLY NEWS CONFERENCE

Mayor Jennifer Dougherty will hold her weekly news conference on Tuesday, April 2 at

10 a.m. in the Board Room of City Hall. The following items will be discussed:

1. Water Ordinance: This Thursday, the Board of Aldermen will vote on the “Curtailment of use of water” amendment.

2. Hope VI Update: The Hope VI Steering Committee is making progress towards completion of the application. They will give an update to the Board of Aldermen at the April 3 Workshop.

3. Laboring Sons Update: The Laboring Sons Ad Hoc Committee has agreed to draft a plan for Memorial Park, which will leave the cemetery undisturbed. This plan will come before the Parks and Recreation Commission on April 17 and the Mayor and Aldermen Workshop on April 24.

4. Additional accomplishments and upcoming issues: Mayor Dougherty will review the past week’s accomplishments and the issues for this week.
