APRIL 18
Mayor Jennifer Dougherty will read a proclamation to commence Municipal Government Week at the Regular Mayor and Board of Aldermen Meeting Thursday, April 18.
Municipal Government Week is April 22-26. It has been celebrated each April since 1993 in an effort to promote citizen awareness and interest. This year an essay contest was open to all 4th grade students enrolled in the 2001-2002 school year, entitled “If I Were Mayor…”
Anna Wherry, 4th grade student at the Visitation Academy, won the essay contest for her district. She will be attending the meeting to read her essay.
The meeting will be held in the City Hall Boardroom at 7 p.m.
