Sinkhole Information
City of Frederick is developing a sinkhole monitoring plan
Well Permit requires City to repair sinkhole damage to private property
Sinkhole must be caused by the well and not due to other natural causes or an act by another party
Suspected sinkholes should be immediately reported to the Department of Public Works at 301-600-1440
The City will inspect the sinkhole site and take immediate steps to mitigate and repair damage caused by the sinkhole
