A RESOLUTION CONCERNING

Issuance of Parking Citations

WHEREAS, Chapter 13, Article II of the Code of the City of Frederick (1966, as amended) (hereinafter "the City Code"), entitled "Stopping, Standing and Parking", sets forth various regulations concerning the parking of vehicles within The City of Frederick; and

WHEREAS, Section 13-63 of the City Code provides for the enforcement of the provisions of Chapter 13, Article II through the issuance of citations to the operators of vehicles parked in violation of said provisions by police officers of The City of Frederick and "other persons so authorized by the mayor and board of aldermen"; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen wish to authorize certain persons to issue parking citations pursuant to Section 13-63 of the City Code.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen hereby authorize employees of the Parking Department and the Department of Code Enforcement to enforce the parking regulations of The City of Frederick through the issuance of citations in accordance with Section 13-63 of the City Code.
