Mayor Dougherty and Board of Alderman,

 

I have the privilege to present to you a “Rules and Procedures” that this council has elected to follow. This document serves to give us guidance in the manor we conduct ourselves, our meetings and interactions among City of Frederick departments and you our elected officials. We believe this to be an important link in developing a cooperative relationship.

 

We are appointed volunteers that care for our neighborhood. As such, we felt the necessity to document who we are and what duties we were given. We have referenced information from the NAC Initiative and have incorporated our own objectives. We have designated officers and specific points of contact. We ask that you direct your communication with the current Chairman. In turn, communication from this council will be directed to the Office of Community Outreach (at this time, Sarah Finefrock). We do have liaisons. These liaisons will soon be making contact with their counterparts in various city departments. This should facilitate an easier flow of information.

 

Our meetings are currently held at Hillcrest Elementary School, the second Wednesday of every month, at 7pm. Please consider this as an open invitation to attend our meetings and participate in our discussions. We ask that if you have a specific topic you’d like discussed, please contact the current chairman to reserve time on the agenda.

 

            Please accept our appreciation for providing us the opportunity to make our community, our City, a great place to live. I hope that we can utilize each others’ resources to make our common goals reality.
