Randy McClement is currently serving his first term ad Mayor. He has been an active member of the Frederick community for many years. He has served on a number of boards and commissions that have given him a breadth of knowledge about our city:
- Previous Co-Owner / operator of The Market Bagel & Deli on South Market Street with wife Maryjane for 12 years
- Past president of the Tourism Council of Frederick County - Chair 2008-2009, board member for 10 years
- Downtown Frederick Partnership Promotions Committee participant for past 5 years
- Participated in the Frederick Police Citizen's Academy, class of 2001
- Chair of the Charter Review Committee 2008 - 2009
- Commissioner on the Ethics Committee 2007 - 2009
- Past Member of the Water Task Force
- Past Member of the Parking Task Force
- Attended just about every mayor and board meeting since 2005
- Member of the Chamber of Commerce for 12 years
- Chair of In the Streets for 2 years
- ITS Committee member for 4 years
- Past vice president of Celebrate Frederick, board member for 2 years
- Past member of the Entrepreneur Council
- Co-founded Frederick Alliance after the Downtown Merchants Association folded

Before he and his wife, Maryjane opened their deli 13 years ago, Randy worked six years in government sales, 13 years as a property manager; 6 of those years as director of management. He has lived in Frederick County since 1994 and in the city for the past 10 years. He has one daughter, Melissa, who is a graduate of Frostburg State and who was married on May 16, 2009. His first grandchild, Charlotte was born on July 12, 2011
