On September 19, 2002 the City of Frederick’s Mayor and Board of Aldermen approved a Water Allocation Ordinance that set forth the statutory authority for the allocation of water resources within the City. Section 742 of the new Land Management Code now governs the allocation of water and sewer capacity to all development projects requiring water and sewer and/or additional water and sewer capacity from the City. In November of 2006 the City started its annual update of the Water and Sewer Allocation Master List, which was established to track all development projects requesting water from the City. This list was developed utilizing application forms submitted by property owners, developers, consultants and other interested parties. Projects were evaluated based on their development review status as of December 1st, 2007.
The 2007 Water and Sewer Allocation Master List in now available for review. Anyone with questions concerning the placement of their project or the accuracy of their project information should contact at 301-600-4588 or by electronic mail at jbazis@cityoffrederick.com
A Preliminary Water and Sewer Allocation Master List has been prepared based on the water and sewer allocation forms received by the Planning Department prior to December 14, 2007. This list is now available for your review and comment. If there are any questions or comments regarding why a project was placed in a particular category please feel free to contact Joshua Bazis at 301-600-4588 or if you prefer by electronic mail at jbazis@cityoffrederick.com.
Please note all projects are eligible to be reassessed annually based on their development review status as of December 1st of each year. In order for a new project to be placed on the 2008 Water and Sewer Allocation Master List or for a project currently on the list to be reevaluated a new application form must be completed and returned to the City of Frederick Planning Department by Friday December 14, 2007. At this point the City will update the Water and Sewer Allocation Ordinance Master List to show the status of all projects eligible for water in 2007.
