The City of Frederick is the fee simple owner of a certain parcel of land known as “parcel C,”containing 4.834 acres of land, as more particularly described on a Plat of Correction entitled “Plat of Correction, Right-of-Way Dedication for Monocacy Boulevard and Parcels C & D”. The property is located along Monocacy Boulevard, in the vicinity of Frederick Municipal Airport, and is one of several lots comprising the remainder of a larger parcel purchased in conjunction with the construction of Monocacy Boulevard.
Pursuant to the City’s Real Property Disposition Policy, the Board has determined the property is no longer needed for any public use and may therefore be considered surplus and, as such, may be sold at private sale. The Board convened in a public meeting on September 5, 2019 and approved Ordinance G-19-25 authorizing the sale and conveyance of the property in accordance with the Real Property Disposition Policy. Upon the passage of at least twenty days, the Mayor will execute a contract of sale and any other binding documents for the sale of the property.
