New K9 Partners, Handler Honors

On June 20, Mayor Michael O'Connor and Frederick Police Chief Ed Hargis recognized Officer First Class Michael McGrew and Officer First Class Joseph Constantine for completing 12 weeks of Police Canine Handler School.

Officer McGrew and his partner Breaker, and Officer Constantine and his partner Chase are now certified with the North American Police Work Dog Association. Both dogs are certified for drug odor detection and general patrol work. Frederick recognizes the officers for their intense efforts and willingness to take on this additional and serious responsibility.
