Officers Make Arrests for Assault and Disorderly Conduct

FREDERICK, MD - On Monday, June 10, 2019, at approximately 4:42 pm, Frederick Police Officers responded to the unit block of South Market Street for a report of a fight.  Officer Hannah Clinton arrived first on scene and witnessed John Comeau assault another male.  As Officer Clinton approached the suspect, he took off running down Carroll Creek Linear Park towards the C. Burr Arts Library.  A brief foot chase ensued and the suspect was apprehended at the library and taken into custody.  As officers were conducting a search incident to arrest, Mr. Comeau resisted and began to scream profanities causing a disturbance.  Mr. Comeau was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center and charged with multiple offenses.

ARRESTED:   John Arthur Comeau, age 28, 400 block Sawyer Road, Harpers Ferry, WV

CHARGES:   Assault 2nd Degree, Disorderly Conduct, Failure to Obey Lawful Order, Interfering with Arrest, and Littering
