Three awards/recognition to the City: for its tree conservation, and public education achievements. Earning the Tree City title again, 39th consecutive year (first in Maryland to earn the designation).

At the Arbor Day ceremony hosted by North Frederick Elementary School Wednesday, Mayor Michael O'Connor encouraged students to carry the mission into the future.

Thanks to sponsors FSK Lions Club, Taskers Chance and Green-Walled Garden Clubs: A new white oak tree was planted at the school, with help from students.
