Chapter 26 ELECTRICAL
ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL
Sec. 26-7. Same--Scope.
(a) The provisions of this article shall apply to all electrical
equipment and the installation thereof for light, heat or power within or on
public or private buildings, structures or premises, including yards, carnival
and parking lots, and industrial substations, and all electrical equipment, and
the installation thereof, used for power supply to radio and television
transmitting and receiving systems in or on such buildings, structures or
premises, in the city.
(b) The current National Electrical Code (NEC) shall
govern permitting requirements for any electric light or power company, railway
company, street railway company, telegraph or telephone company.
(c) The
provisions of this article shall not apply to installations in mines, ships or
railway cars or to automotive equipment.
(d) The provisions of this article
shall not apply to installations or equipment employed by the United States
