Chapter 26 ELECTRICAL
ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL
Sec. 26-4. Electrical board--Establishment, members, qualifications, etc.
(a) The electrical board is hereby created and shall consist of five
(5) voting members. The members shall consist of two (2) master electricians,
both of which must be registered and licensed to do work in the city and one of
which must have a business residence in the city; the director of permits and
code management or his designate; one alderman; one individual from the building
trade industry that actively does work in the city. One master electrician shall
be appointed by the mayor with the approval of the board of aldermen first to a
two (2) year term, one master electrician shall be appointed first to a three
(3) year term and those thereafter shall both be appointed to three (3) year
terms. The individual from the building trade industry shall be appointed to a
three (3) year term.
(b) At least two (2) members of the electrical board
may not be related to, either by blood or marriage, or associated with any
person or corporation who is currently doing electrical work in the city or who
has done electrical work in the city within the year prior to the member’s
date of appointment.
(c) Three (3) members of the electrical board present
at a meeting shall constitute a quorum, one of whom must be a master
electrician. Meetings shall be held at the call of the chairman. The board may
establish rules for conduct of its meetings. (Ord. No. G-94-27, § 1,
