The city treasurer shall furnish the superintendent of waterworks with a list of all delinquent water renters who have been notified as directed in section 25-1, and who have failed to pay at the time in such notice limited the rent due. The superintendent, when authorized by the city treasurer, shall thereupon shut off the water at the stopcock, and in no case shall the water be turned on until the rent and all expenses are paid by the delinquent. It shall be unlawful for any person to turn the water on again after the same has been turned off by the superintendent, as above stated, without his order. (Code 1953, § 21.6; Ord. No. G-75-14, § 1.)
