(a) In addition to complying with all other provisions required by this chapter, each taxicab specified for use with a taxicab permit as required in section 23-8 of this chapter shall carry insurance in compliance with the Annotated Code of Maryland, Transportation Article Section 17-103.
(b) Permit holders shall provide the taxicab administrative agency with a certificate from the insurance company, signed by an authorized agent, indicating that the policy has been issued, specifying the vehicle covered, the terms of the policy, and the effective dates of the policy for each taxicab specified by a permit holder for use with such permit.
(c) Each taxicab permit holder shall also maintain a current copy of the insurance policy or certificate provided to the taxicab administrative agency pursuant to the requirements of this section. (Ord. No. G-04-10, 6-3-04)
