(a) No person shall operate any taxicab or vehicle used as a taxicab upon a street in the city unless such person has a valid taxicab driver’s license or a valid temporary taxicab driver’s license issued by the commission to operate a taxicab under the provisions of this chapter.
(b) Violation of this section is declared to be a municipal infraction. The penalty for violation shall not exceed the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for each violation. Each separate day of violation that remains uncorrected is a separate violation subject to an additional citation and fine. (Ord. No. G-04-10, 6-3-04; Ord. No. G-05-3, 3-10-05)
