ARTICLE III. TAXICAB PERMITS
Sec. 23-4. Taxicab permit--Generally.
(a) No person operating a taxicab shall be permitted to provide
transportation where the point of origin is within the city unless the owner of
such taxicab is a valid taxicab permit holder pursuant to the provisions of this
chapter.
(b) Permits are valid for a period of one year. Each permit shall
become effective on July 1st of each calendar year and will expire on June 30th
of the following calendar year.
(c) Operation of a taxicab without a permit
shall result in a violation of this section declared to be a municipal
infraction and is subject to a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars
($1,000.00) for each violation. Each separate day that a violation remains
uncorrected is a separate violation subject to additional fines. (Ord. No.
