ARTICLE VI. VENDORS AND PEDDLERS
Sec. 22-63. License--Fees.
(a) Upon approval of an application for a license under this article,
the applicant shall pay a fee to the department of permits and code management
as follows:
(1) A vendor’s license shall be issued to the applicant
for such upon payment of a license fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) a
year.
(2) A peddler selling from a wagon, pushcart or other vehicle shall be
classified as a Class I peddler. The license fee for each Class I peddler shall
be one hundred dollars ($100.00) each year for each vehicle.
(3) A peddler
selling only from packs, baskets or similar containers shall be designated as a
Class II peddler. The license fee for each Class II peddler shall be fifty
dollars ($50.00) a year.
(4) Any promoter, sponsor or other person, firm,
corporation or legal entity organizing a convention, sale or show which includes
ten (10) or more exhibitors, merchants, venders, or dealers selling or offering
to sell merchandise or commodities shall pay a license fee of seven hundred
dollars ($700.00). Any promoter, sponsor or other person, firm, corporation or
legal entity organizing a nonprofit promoter event shall pay a license fee of
fifty dollars ($50.00), regardless of the number of exhibitors, merchants,
venders or dealers.
(5) Any nonprofit vender or peddler who will be selling
merchandise or commodities on behalf of any such group and who present an
approved means of identification with the group represented, shall pay a license
fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) each event.
(b) All such licenses,
unless otherwise expressly stated in this article shall expire at 12:00 midnight
on December 31st following issuance. The full amount of the license shall be
paid regardless of the time of the year in which the license is
issued.
(c) All license fees for city sponsored special events will be
determined by the tourism council of Frederick, Inc. (Ord. No. G-94-12, §
