Chapter 18 PUBLIC AMUSEMENTS*
ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL
Sec. 18-3. Same--Same--Special reductions for clubs. etc.
When any license or fee is required for any exhibition or part thereof
referred to in this article and which exhibition is sponsored or conducted by a
social, civic, charitable, educational, service or veterans’ club or
organization having a local chapter in the county and being affiliated with a
national organization, or sponsored or conducted by any bona fide athletic
association or organization in the city certified to as such by the
superintendent of parks, which organization or club shall undertake to furnish
and be responsible for adequate policing of the exhibition and be responsible
for such exhibition’s compliance with all city regulations concerning such
exhibitions, then the license fee provided for in section 18-2 shall be
one-fifth of the amount set out in such section. Upon the granting of any
license to any organization or club, as set forth above, such organization or
club shall pay to the city the license fees set forth in this section and shall
take out the license in its own name.
Any organization or club so sponsoring
or conducting an exhibition shall, within ten days following the cessation of
the exhibition, file with the city treasurer, under affidavit, a statement
showing the net amount received by such organization or club on account of its
sponsoring or conduct of such exhibition. (Code 1953, §§ 14.3,
