Chapter 18 PUBLIC AMUSEMENTS*
ARTICLE II. CIRCUSES, CARNIVALS, ETC.
Sec. 18-10. Cash deposits.
The management of any outdoor circus, carnival or other mobile body,
after having obtained a permit to operate as provided in this article, shall
deposit, with the city health officer or his authorized representative, cash, in
the amount of one hundred dollars. This sum shall be held by the health officer
or his authorized representative as a cash guarantee that the grounds whereon
the circus, carnival or other mobile body exhibits shall be maintained in a
sanitary condition. This cash deposit shall be returned to the management of
such circus, carnival or other mobile body when, in the opinion of the city
health officer or his authorized representative, the grounds have been restored
to their former sanitary condition. The failure of the management of any outdoor
circus, carnival or other mobile body to so restore the grounds where an exhibit
has taken place within twenty-four hours after the last exhibition shall result
in the forfeiture of this cash deposit. (Code 1953, § 14.11.)
