(a) Before any person or company providing plumbing, gas installation, heat equipment installation or water conditioning installation services shall register, he/it shall purchase, and maintain during the registration period, a policy(s) providing general liability and property damage insurance in favor of his/its customers. Such general liability and property damage insurance shall be in the amount of at least the amount(s) of general liability and property damage insurance required by the Maryland State Board of Plumbing, as amended from time to time, to be carried by plumbers licensed by the state.
(b) The City of Frederick shall be listed as a certified holder on all certificates of insurance.
(c) Failure to maintain the policies of insurance as above provided shall result in the revocation of registration and all permits outstanding after notice and opportunity to be heard. (Ord. No. G-85-17, § 1, (Title 3, § 2), 12-12-85; Ord. No. G-87-5, § 1, 4-2-87; Ord. No. G-00-10, § 1, 6-1-00)
