(a) Every permit issued by The City of Frederick, in accordance with the provisions of the Plumbing Code, shall expire and become null and void when work authorized by the permit has not commenced within twelve (12) months from the date of issuance or if such work is suspended or abandoned for a period of six (6) months after commencement of the work.
(b) The City of Frederick may grant an extension to any permit provided the request is submitted in writing by the permittee and states the reasons or circumstances which prevented the permittee from completing the work as required by the Plumbing Code. (Ord. No. G-00-5, § 1, 2-17-00)
