Chapter 15 OFFENSES--MISCELLANEOUS*
Sec. 15-45.3. Alarm system registration.
(a) Requirement. As of September 1, 2007, an alarm user may not allow
an alarm system to emit an alarm signal unless the alarm system is registered
with the department in accordance with this section.
(b) Initial
registration. An alarm user shall register an alarm system by completing and
submitting to the department an application form provided by the department. The
alarm user shall notify the department within seven (7) days of any change in
the information supplied on the application form, including but not limited to
the alarm user’s address or phone number.
(c) Renewals. Every alarm
user shall renew an alarm system registration annually between December 1st and
December 31st, starting with the 2008 calendar year, regardless of when the
initial registration was done.
(d) Penalty. The city will not impose a
penalty for the first violation of subsection (a) of this section. A second or
subsequent violation of subsection (a) is hereby declared to be a municipal
infraction punishable by fine of one hundred dollars ($100.00). Each day a
violation continues is hereby deemed a separate offense. (Ord. No. G-07-7,
