It shall be unlawful for any person to focus, point, or shine a laser beam directly or indirectly on any uniformed police officer, any police dog accompanying a uniformed police officer, any uniformed fire or emergency personnel or any uniformed security guard.
Any such person convicted thereof shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject to a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or imprisonment of up to sixty (60) days or both. (Ord. No. G-99-2, § 1, 5-6-99)
