Sec. 15-35. Soliciting customers on streets, etc.


It shall be unlawful for any person, upon any of the sidewalks, footways or streets of the city, to interfere with any person by taking hold of him or in any way obstructing the free passage of any person upon or along the streets or sidewalks, for the purpose of inducing him to buy any article or thing from any store or stand, where goods are sold at retail, or for the purpose of soliciting him to patronize any hotel, restaurant, garage or other place of business. Violation of this section is declared to be a municipal infraction. The penalty for violation shall be the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25.00). (Code 1953, § 12.37; Ord. No. G-80-21, § 1, 7-17-80)
