The police department is hereby authorized and empowered to take possession of and to remove any parked vehicle or any vehicle abandoned so as to obstruct traffic on any of those streets in the city which have been designated as snow emergency routes during such time that a snow emergency exists. The owner of such vehicle may then recover the same upon paying such charges as may have been incurred for the removal and storage of such vehicle. (1961 Supp., § 10.124; Ord. No. G-04-33, 11-18-04)
