The board of aldermen shall have the authority to designate locations within the city as bus stops and may do so by unwritten resolution. A written notification of the resolution shall thereafter be immediately delivered to the superintendent of parking who shall see that the locations are properly marked and who shall keep a full list of those locations designated as bus stops in a permanent public file within the police department and parking department of the city.
