Chapter 13 MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC*
ARTICLE II. STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING*
Sec. 13-22.1. Special parking--City Hall area.*
(a) Council Street.
(1) Beginning with the westernmost parking
space on the south side of Council Street and heading eastward from Record
Street, parking spaces will be designated as follows:
(A) The first and
eighth parking spaces will be reserved at all times for handicapped accessible
parking.
(B) The second through sixth parking spaces will be reserved
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding legal holidays,
for members of the board of aldermen parking.
(C) The seventh parking space
shall be reserved at all times for the mayor.
(2) The parking spaces
reserved for handicapped accessible parking described in subsection (a)(1)(A) of
this section shall, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on weekdays, excluding legal
holidays, be restricted to City Hall patrons whose motor vehicles bear either a
valid handicapped license plate or other valid evidence that the user of the
motor vehicle is handicapped as provided under Maryland law. At all remaining
times, such spaces shall remain limited to vehicles operated by handicapped
individuals regardless of whether such individual is or is not conducting
business at City Hall.
(b) Record Street. The six (6) parking spaces on the
eastside of Record Street between West Church Street and Council Street will be
reserved between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, excluding legal holidays,
for official city vehicles only.
(c) Vehicles subject to citation and tow.
Any vehicle parked in violation of subsection (a) or (b) of this section may be
issued a citation and immediately towed. (Ord. No. G-05-8, § 1,
