It shall be unlawful to litter or to allow the act of littering. Whenever litter is thrown or deposited from any motor vehicle in violation of this section, the operator of said motor vehicle is presumed to have caused or allowed the litter to be so thrown or deposited. Violation of this section is declared to be a municipal infraction. The penalty for violation shall be a fine not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00). Any costs associated with removing such litter from public property may be charged to the violator. (Ord. No. 99-32, § 1, 7-15-99)
