Chapter 10 SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT*
ARTICLE II. WASTE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL
Sec. 10-15. Service level--Residential.
(a) No residential dwelling unit served by the manual collection
system shall set out within the city for collection and removal by the employees
of the city or its agents more than ninety (90) gallons of refuse per
collection. The weight of any can or bag filled with waste shall not exceed
fifty (50) pounds. Violation of this section is declared to be an infraction.
The penalty for violation shall be a fine not to exceed fifty dollars
($50.00).
(b) Frequency--Each dwelling unit shall receive twice weekly
collection services on days designated by the director of public
works.
(c) All trash set out for collection by the automated trash
collection system shall be fully contained within the automated refuse
containers. The weight of any automated refuse container filled with waste shall
not exceed two hundred twenty (220) pounds. Violation of this section is
declared to be an infraction. The penalty for violation shall be a fine not to
exceed fifty dollars ($50.00).
(d) Each residential dwelling unit served
by the automated collection system may elect to purchase additional automated
refuse containers from the city. Dwelling units having more than one automated
refuse container will be assessed a quarterly service fee for each automated
