Sec. 6-3. Examination and condemnation of unwholesome or adulterated food or drink.


(a) The deputy state health officer shall take samples of food, drink or other substances and examine them as often as shall be necessary for the determination of wholesomeness or freedom from adulteration.
(b) The deputy state health officer may detain, pending examination, any food or drink which is suspected of being unwholesome or adulterated or cause to be removed or destroyed any food or drink which is unwholesome or adulterated in accordance with the provisions of sections 177 and 178, article 43, Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957.
