The International Residential Code, as adopted and amended by the State of Maryland in COMAR 05.02.07 (Maryland Building Performance Standards), is hereby adopted as the Residential Code of the City of Frederick, save and except such portions as are deleted or modified in this article or by resolution of the board of aldermen, and the same is hereby incorporated as fully as if set out at length in this section. Any local amendment to the International Residential Code (as adopted and amended by the State of Maryland) need not be set out in this article, but shall be on file in the office of the city’s legislative clerk. Any inconsistency between the International Residential Code (as adopted and amended by the State of Maryland) and a local amendment thereto shall be construed in favor of the local amendment. (Ord.
