No member of the board of aldermen shall be eligible to any appointment as salaried officer, or retained as an employee of the city, nor shall he be interested in any contract in which the city is interested, except as permitted pursuant to the City Ethics Law, codified at Chapter 21 of the Code of the City of Frederick.
