The term of each member shall be three (3) years; except, that the initial appointment of three (3) members shall be for one year, three (3) members for two (2) years and three (3) members for three (3) years. The present members of the recreation commission shall continue to serve until new appointments are made. Vacancies in the commission, occurring otherwise than by expiration of the term of the person formerly holding the office. Subject to the discretion of the mayor, the membership of such commission shall represent the various areas and sections of the city as comprehensively as may be possible. (Code 1953, § 2.34; Ord.
